What Changes After Approval
Once your application is approved:
- Your account gains producer permissions
- You can access the Producer Dashboard
- The Backstage menu item appears in your profile dropdown
- You can upload beats to the platform
- You become eligible to earn revenue
First Steps
1. Access Your Producer Dashboard
Navigate to your Producer Dashboard to see your new tools:
- Click your profile avatar in the top navigation
- Select Backstage from the menu
- Explore the dashboard sections
2. Complete Your Producer Profile
Make your profile stand out:
- Upload a high-quality profile picture
- Add a bio describing your style and sound
- Link your social media accounts
- Add photos to your about section
3. Set Up Payouts
To receive earnings, you need to connect your payout account:
- Go to Finances in the Producer Dashboard
- Complete the Stripe Connect onboarding
- Provide required tax and banking information
You can upload beats immediately, but you won’t receive payouts until your payout account is set up.
Upload Your First Beat
Go to Upload
Click the upload button or navigate to /upload.
Add Your Beat File
Drag and drop or select your audio file (MP3, WAV, or FLAC).
Fill in Details
Add title, BPM, key, tags, and description.
Set Pricing
Choose non-exclusive and exclusive license options.
Publish
Review and publish your beat to the platform.

Understanding Your Earnings
How You Earn
- Non-exclusive downloads — Members with paid subscriptions download your beats
- Exclusive licenses — Buyers purchase exclusive rights
- Play-based revenue — Your share of subscription revenue based on plays
You Keep 100%
You keep 100% of the price you set for your beats. The platform charges buyers a 15% fee on top of your price—nothing is deducted from your earnings.

To succeed as a producer on BeatPass:
Upload Consistently
You committed to at least 2 beats per month. Consistent uploading helps:
- Keep your profile active
- Improve search visibility
- Increase discovery chances
For each beat, fill in:
- BPM — Tempo in beats per minute
- Key — Musical key (e.g., C Major, F# Minor)
- Tags — Genre, mood, and style tags
- Description — What makes this beat special
Complete metadata helps your beats appear in searches and recommendations.
Organize into Albums
Group related beats into albums to:
- Create themed collections
- Make browsing easier for buyers
- Showcase your range
Get Verified
Want to stand out even more? Get verified to earn:

XP & Achievements
Earn XP by:
- Uploading tracks (+100 XP each)
- Getting plays (+1 XP per play)
- Completing metadata (+50 XP per complete track)
- Collaborating (+25 XP per collaboration)
- Unlocking achievements (+100 to +10,000 XP)
Leaderboards
Compete with other producers across categories:

Once your beats are live:
