Welcome to the BeatPass producer upload guide. This section covers everything you need to know about uploading your beats, creating collections, and managing your content.

Getting Started

Before you can upload music to BeatPass, you need to have a producer account. Once you’re set up as a producer, you can upload beats directly from the upload page.

Upload Overview

When you upload a track to BeatPass, several things happen automatically:

File Upload

Your audio file is securely uploaded to our servers.

Audio Fingerprinting

We create a unique fingerprint of your audio to detect duplicates and protect your content.

Metadata Extraction

We try to read title, artist, and other information from your file’s tags.

Waveform Generation

A visual waveform is generated for the track player.

What You Can Upload

BeatPass only accepts lossless audio formats to maintain catalog quality:

AIFFUncompressed audio — Mac standard
Compressed formats (MP3, AAC, OGG) are not accepted. BeatPass requires lossless audio to ensure the highest quality for listeners and licensees. Convert your files to WAV or FLAC before uploading.

Track Information

When uploading a track, you’ll fill out the following details:

Required Fields

  • Track Name — The title of your beat
  • Artists — Your producer name (added automatically)
  • Key — The musical key (C, D, E, etc.)
  • Scale — Major or Minor
  • BPM — Tempo in beats per minute (50-200)

Optional Fields

  • Description — Tell listeners about your beat
  • Genres — Categorize your music (Hip Hop, Trap, R&B, etc.)
  • Tags — Add searchable keywords
  • Album — Add to an existing collection
  • Cover Art — Custom artwork for your track

Content Protection

BeatPass protects your content through:

Audio Fingerprinting

Every track gets a unique digital fingerprint that prevents unauthorized copies from being uploaded.

License Certificates

When users download your tracks, they receive verifiable license certificates.

After Uploading

Once your track is published:
  • It appears in your producer profile
  • Listeners can stream it on BeatPass
  • Subscribers can download it with license certificates
  • You can track plays and engagement in your Producer Dashboard
  • You earn from the subscription revenue pool based on your contribution value
