This section documents the current producer upload flow in BeatPass, including single-beat uploads, collections, metadata, cover art, sample-safe status, and audio fingerprinting.

What the Current Upload Flow Supports

BeatPass producers can currently:
  • Upload individual beats
  • Use Create Collection to build a collection while uploading multiple beats
  • Add metadata, cover art, and licensing settings before saving
  • Replace audio later if needed
The current producer upload flow only accepts WAV beat files. Even if older copy mentions other lossless formats, the live upload validation currently blocks non-WAV files.

Upload Overview

When you upload a beat to BeatPass, the current flow looks like this:
1

Upload the WAV file

Drag and drop or choose your beat file from the upload page.
2

Run duplicate check and fingerprinting

BeatPass checks the audio for duplicate content and prepares the fingerprint status.
3

Complete the track form

Add cover art, metadata, sample-safe status, and licensing settings.
4

Save the beat or collection

Once the required fields are complete, save the track or collection to publish it.

Required Track Information

Before a new track can be saved, BeatPass currently requires:
  • Track Name
  • Artists
  • Cover Art
  • Key
  • Scale
  • BPM
  • Uploaded audio source
  • Licensing model
If you enable exclusive licensing, BeatPass also requires the exclusive contact email and exclusive status fields.
