How Following Works
Following Users
You can follow any user on BeatPass:1
Visit their profile
Navigate to the user’s profile page by clicking their name or avatar anywhere on the site.

Click Follow
Click the Follow button in their profile header. The button changes to Unfollow once you’re following them.

Stay connected
You’ll now see their activity and can opt to receive notifications about new content.
Following Producers
Producers can be followed from multiple places:| Location | How to Follow |
|---|---|
| Producer Page | Click the Follow button in the producer header |
| Track Page | Click the producer name, then follow from their page |
| Search Results | Click through to the producer page and follow |
| Similar Producers | Follow directly from the “Similar Producers” section on producer pages |
Following a producer keeps you updated on their music releases. You can also follow their user profile for broader activity updates.
Managing Your Follows
Viewing Who You Follow
To see everyone you’re following:- Go to your Profile page
- Click on the Following tab
- Browse your list of followed users and producers
Viewing Your Followers
To see who follows you:- Go to your Profile page
- Click on the Followers tab
- View everyone who has chosen to follow you
Unfollowing
To stop following someone:- Visit their profile or producer page
- Click the Unfollow button (where Follow used to be)
- You’ll no longer see their updates in your feed
Unfollowing is instant and the user is not notified when you unfollow them.
Following vs. Liking

Explore genre channels and featured content to find producers in styles you enjoy.
Similar Producers
Check the “Similar Producers” section on producer pages you already like.
Track Comments
Discover active community members through engaging comments.
Search
Search for producers by name, genre, or style.
Notifications
New Follower Notifications

Your Followers and Following tabs are visible on your public profile. Anyone can see who you follow and who follows you.

I can't follow someone
Possible causes:
- You’re not logged in — sign in first
- You’re trying to follow yourself — you can’t follow your own profile
- Network error — refresh the page and try again
My follower count seems wrong
My follower count seems wrong
Follower counts update in real-time but may occasionally take a moment to sync. If the issue persists after refreshing, contact support at [email protected].
I'm not seeing updates from people I follow
I'm not seeing updates from people I follow
Check that:
- You’re looking at your feed on the homepage
- The producer has uploaded new content since you followed them
- Your notification settings include New Uploads notifications
