This guide walks through the Producer Program application flow. BeatPass uses three stages: Apply, Review, and Start Earning.

Overview

1

Apply

Choose the right request type and complete the information BeatPass asks for.
2

Review

The BeatPass team reviews your request for quality, legitimacy, and ownership.
3

Start Earning

Once approved, use your producer tools to upload beats, manage your catalog, and connect payouts.

Step 1: Start Your Application

Canonical Path

  1. Visit https://open.beatpass.ca/producer-program
  2. Click Apply to Join (if logged in) or Apply Now (if not logged in)
  3. You’ll arrive at the request selector: https://open.beatpass.ca/backstage/requests
The page heading reads Join the Producer Program. This is your application starting point.

Choose Your Application Type

On the request selector, choose based on your situation:
If you…Choose…
Don’t have a producer profile yetBecome a Producer
Have music on BeatPass but no account accessClaim Existing Artist
Already have a producer profile and want verificationGet Verified
The Backstage menu item in your profile dropdown goes to /producer-dashboard, which requires existing producer access. It does NOT lead to the application page. Always use the Producer Program page to start applications.

Step 2: Fill Out the Application

Profile Setup

Depending on your application type:
  • Become a Producer — Enter your Producer Name
  • Claim Existing Artist — Search for and select the producer profile you want to claim
  • Get Verified — Takes you to https://open.beatpass.ca/backstage/requests/verify-artist, which shows Discord Community Required with a Join Discord Community button (no submission form)
For claim requests, BeatPass checks whether the selected profile is Available or Already Claimed before you continue.

Personal Details

Provide your real information:
  • First name (required)
  • Last name (required)
  • Company or label (optional)
For Claim Existing Artist requests, you also select your relationship to the profile, such as Artist, Manager, Producer, Label, or another supported role.

Supporting Materials

Provide links and files to support your request:
  • Link to your beats (required for become/claim) - A URL where your music can be reviewed
  • Instagram handle (optional)
  • Attachments (optional) - Additional documents or proof

Discord Community

The request form includes a Join Community section with a Discord button. This is optional for standard applications, but Discord participation is required for Get Verified.

Agreement

Before submitting, you must confirm:
  1. Agreement to Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
  2. Ownership of all beats you will upload
  3. Granting BeatPass a non-exclusive license to distribute your music
  4. Commitment to uploading at least 2 beats per month

Step 3: Submit Your Application

Once you have filled out the required fields and checked both agreement boxes, click Submit Application. You will be taken to a confirmation page showing that your request was received.
You can only have one active application under review at a time. If your current request is Pending, BeatPass blocks new submissions until a decision is made.

Step 4: Wait for Review

The BeatPass team reviews applications to ensure:
  • The quality of your beats meets platform standards
  • The information you provided is accurate
  • You are a legitimate producer or authorized representative
The request-submitted page currently shows an Application Review (24-48 hours) estimate, but treat that as guidance rather than a guaranteed SLA. You will receive a decision by email.

Step 5: Receive Your Decision

If Approved

You will receive an email confirming your approval. You can then:
  • Start uploading beats and collections
  • Connect Stripe if you want payouts
  • Edit your profile and catalog
  • Configure licensing for your tracks
See After Approval for next steps.

If Denied

If your request is not approved, you will receive an email explaining why. Common reasons include:
  • Beat quality does not meet standards
  • Missing or incomplete information
  • Ownership or identity could not be verified
You can address the issue and apply again later.

If Access Is Revoked Later

If your producer access is revoked after approval, you cannot submit a new request directly. Use https://open.beatpass.ca/contact so the admin team can review your appeal.

Application Status

You can check your request state by returning to https://open.beatpass.ca/backstage/requests.
StatusMeaning
PendingRequest submitted and waiting for review
ApprovedProducer access is active
DeniedRequest was not approved
RevokedProducer access was removed and requires an appeal

If You See a Submission Block

Before showing request options, the request selector checks whether you’re allowed to submit.
  • Pending block — Your request is already under review. Wait for the decision email before submitting again
  • Revoked block — Your producer access was revoked. Use Contact Support to reach https://open.beatpass.ca/contact for appeals
This prevents duplicate requests and keeps appeal handling in one place.

Tips for a Strong Application

Accurate personal information helps the review process and makes later payout onboarding easier.
Social verification can help confirm your identity and strengthen your request.
Discord is required for verification requests and is also a useful place to stay informed about producer community updates.
