BeatPass supports multi-producer credits on tracks. When you credit more than one producer, the beat can appear on each credited producer profile, but there are also earnings and management rules you should understand.

How Collaborations Work

For collaborative beats, BeatPass currently does the following:
  • Shows the beat on each credited producer profile
  • Splits subscription contribution value equally across credited producers
  • Leaves ongoing track management with the uploader / track owner
Crediting someone on a track is not the same thing as giving them editing control. The uploader still manages the beat’s files, metadata, and licensing settings.

Adding Collaborators

1

Open the track form

Upload a new beat or edit an existing one.
2

Use the Artists field

Add the credited producers in the Artists picker.
3

Save the track

Once saved, the collaboration appears on the credited producer profiles.

Attribution Best Practice

The cleanest collaboration setup is when every credited producer already has a BeatPass profile. That keeps attribution, profile visibility, and producer-side data aligned.

How Subscription Earnings Are Split

BeatPass currently splits contribution value equally among credited producers.
Producers CreditedEach Producer Gets
1100%
250% each
333.3% each
425% each
This applies to BeatPass subscription contribution, not to private off-platform agreements between collaborators.

Exclusive Sales on Collaborative Beats

BeatPass does not automatically split exclusive-sale proceeds across collaborators just because multiple producers are credited. The current track owner / uploader remains responsible for:
  • Managing the beat
  • Configuring exclusive terms
  • Receiving the BeatPass-side exclusive payout flow
If collaborators want a different split, they need to arrange that outside BeatPass.

When to Use Collaboration Credits

Use collaboration credits when:
  • Two or more producers genuinely worked on the beat
  • You want the release to appear on multiple producer profiles
  • You are comfortable sharing BeatPass subscription contribution equally
Do not use collaboration credits casually if you do not want the track appearing on another producer’s profile or sharing BeatPass-side contribution value.

Common Questions

Yes. Edit the track’s credited artists and save the change. BeatPass will then update where the beat appears and how future contribution is split.
The current workflow is uploader-managed. Coordinate with your collaborators before publishing.
BeatPass currently awards collaboration XP, and collaborative tracks also contribute to other activity such as plays and uploads.
No. The BeatPass-side exclusive flow follows the current track owner / uploader configuration, so any off-platform split between collaborators must be handled separately.
