Reposts are a public recommendation tool for tracks and albums. When reposts are enabled on your BeatPass installation, reposting adds the item to the Reposts tab on your public user profile and can trigger repost notifications for the producer.

How Reposts Work

When you repost a track or album:
  1. It appears on your profile’s Reposts tab
  2. The repost state toggles to Reposted
  3. The content’s repost count can increase
  4. The producer can receive a Reposts notification if they enabled it
Reposts are different from shares. Reposting is public inside BeatPass; sharing copies a link for use outside BeatPass.

Reposting Content

From a Track Page

1

Open the track

Navigate to the track page you want to repost.
2

Use the Repost action

Click Repost in the visible action row or the item’s action menu.
3

Confirm the state change

The control switches to Reposted when the repost is saved.

From an Album Page

Albums use the same basic flow:
  1. Open the album page
  2. Click Repost
  3. Confirm the button changes to Reposted

Removing a Repost

Click the same control again to remove the repost from your profile.
If reposts are disabled for your BeatPass installation, the Repost button and Reposts profile tab will not appear.

Repost Notifications

Producers can enable or disable Reposts notifications from Notification Preferences.

Best Practices

For Users

  • Repost quality content because it stays on your public profile
  • Use reposts for public recommendations and shares for private link sending
  • Keep your reposts tab curated instead of reposting everything you hear

For Producers

  • Watch repost counts alongside likes and comments because they measure a different kind of engagement
  • Keep repost notifications enabled if public social proof matters to your workflow

Troubleshooting

Common causes:
  • Reposts are disabled on this BeatPass installation
  • You are not logged in
  • The item type does not support reposting
Refresh the page and check your profile’s Reposts tab. If the toggle did not stick, try the action again after the page finishes loading.
Repost counts can take a moment to refresh across every surface. Reload the item page and your profile if the count still looks stale.

Sharing & Embeds

Share content via direct links or embed players on your website.
