Overview

BeatPass Producer Leaderboards rank producers across multiple categories, providing transparent competition and recognition for your achievements. Rankings are calculated using real data and update in near real-time.
Audience: Producers with an artist profile. Access leaderboards at Producer Dashboard → Leaderboards.

Accessing Leaderboards

Requirements

To view and participate in leaderboards, you need:
  • A BeatPass account with an artist profile
  • At least one published track (required to appear in rankings)
  1. Log in to BeatPass
  2. Navigate to /producer-dashboard/leaderboards
  3. Use the Category Filter to switch between ranking types

Leaderboard Categories

BeatPass features 7 distinct leaderboard categories, each measuring different aspects of your producer journey.

Overall Rankings

The Overall leaderboard provides a composite score combining performance across all categories.

Points (XP) Rankings

Ranks producers by total Experience Points earned through platform engagement. How to earn XP:
  • Upload tracks: +100 XP per track
  • Complete achievements: +100 to +10,000 XP depending on rarity
  • Collaborate with others: +25 XP per collaboration
  • Unlock milestones: Variable XP rewards
Tiebreaker: When XP totals are equal, achievement count determines ranking.

Plays Rankings

Ranks producers by total play count across all published tracks. What counts:
  • Authentic listening sessions from unique users
  • Minimum listen duration threshold must be met
  • Bot/artificial plays are filtered out
Metadata shown:
  • Total plays across catalog
  • Average plays per track
  • Track count contributing to total
Artificial play manipulation is detected and filtered. Focus on creating quality content that attracts genuine listeners.

Uploads Rankings

Ranks producers by number of published tracks on the platform. What counts:
  • Only approved, public tracks are counted
  • Draft or private tracks do not contribute
  • Removed tracks are deducted from count

  • Higher visibility in discovery algorithms
  • More opportunities for plays and engagement
  • Demonstrates active producer presence

Quality Rankings

Ranks producers by metadata completeness across their catalog. Quality score components (25% each):

Earnings Rankings

Ranks producers by their platform contribution share — a metric that reflects your tracks’ performance relative to the platform total. How contribution is calculated:
  • Based on play counts and engagement
  • Weighted by track quality and listener retention
  • Updated periodically based on platform-wide metrics

Collaboration Rankings

Ranks producers by their collaborative activity with other artists. What contributes to collaboration score:
  • Number of collaborative tracks (multiple artists)
  • Unique collaborator count

  • Collaboration-related achievements
Collaboration rankings reward producers who actively work with others, fostering community growth on BeatPass.

Understanding Your Rank

Rank Display

Each leaderboard shows:
  • Rank number — Your position (e.g., #1, #5, #42)
  • Score — The metric value for that category
  • Metadata — Category-specific additional information
  • Progress bar — Visual representation of relative performance

Top Performers Section

The Top 3 producers in each category receive special recognition:
  • 🥇 Gold — 1st place with crown icon
  • 🥈 Silver — 2nd place with medal icon
  • 🥉 Bronze — 3rd place with award icon
These top performers are displayed prominently with enhanced cards at the top of the leaderboard.

You need at least one published, public track to appear in rankings. Draft, private, or removed tracks don’t count. Upload and publish a track to become eligible.
Rankings update approximately every 5 minutes. When you switch categories, you’ll see the latest cached data, with background refreshes every 3 minutes while viewing the page.
Individual category rankings measure one specific metric (e.g., total plays). The Overall ranking combines all categories with weighted percentages to provide a holistic view of producer performance.
Yes! The Overall leaderboard metadata shows your rank in each component category (e.g., “#3 Points • #7 Plays • #12 Uploads”).
