- A content model such as tracks, artists, albums, playlists, users, genres, or nested channels
- A layout such as grid, table, list, carousel, or another supported presentation
- A content source such as manually curated items, provider-fed updates, or personalized recommendations
Why This Matters
Once you understand the channel model, several BeatPass pages make more sense:- The homepage is a channel-driven surface.
- Genre pages are channels with genre restrictions.
- Some channel pages are made of nested channels rather than direct track lists.
Not Every Channel Works The Same Way
Channels can differ in:- The kind of content they hold
- Whether they have filters
- Whether they are nested inside another channel
- Whether the content is static, curated, or personalized
A channel page is not guaranteed to be a track grid. In the current system it may be a track table, list, collection showcase, carousel, or a container of other channels.
