Profile Visibility

BeatPass user profiles are public by design. This page covers what is visible today and which parts you can actually control.

What can appear on your user profile

Depending on what you have filled out and what content you have, visitors can see:
  • Your avatar and username
  • Your first and last name, if set
  • Your city and country, if set
  • Your description
  • Your profile links
  • Your followers and following lists
  • Your liked beats
  • Your liked collections
  • Your liked producers
  • Your public playlists
  • Your reposts, when reposts are enabled on the platform
If a field is blank, it will not appear on your public profile.

What you can control today

BeatPass does not currently expose a dedicated privacy panel for user profiles. The practical controls available in the product are:
  • What information you fill into your profile editor
  • Whether a playlist is public or private

Hide information by removing it

If you do not want something shown publicly, remove it from your profile editor:
  • Bio
  • City
  • Country
  • External links
  • Profile image

Keep playlists off your public profile

When a playlist is private:
  • It stays in your library
  • It does not appear in Public Playlists on your profile
Use private playlists for work-in-progress curation or personal listening lists. Only make a playlist public when you want it attached to your public identity.

What visitors can do from your profile

Visitors to your profile can:
  • Follow you
  • Open a message when messaging is available for that account state
  • Browse your public tabs
This page intentionally avoids documenting controls that are not present in the current UI, such as profile-hide toggles or block lists.
