BeatPass tracks various metrics to help you understand performance, earn XP, and compete on leaderboards. This guide defines each metric and explains how it’s calculated.
Engagement Metrics
Plays
Definition: The total number of times your tracks have been played.
Metric Description Total Plays Lifetime play count across all your tracks Plays This Period Plays within the selected time range
Plays are tracked via analytics events and update in near real-time. Each play event awards you +1 XP.
Downloads
Definition: The number of times users have downloaded your tracks.
Metric Description Total Downloads All-time download count Unique Downloaders Distinct users who downloaded Recent Downloads Downloads in the selected period Top Downloaded Track Your most popular download
Downloads indicate purchase intent or licensed usage. View download history with user details and license certificates in the Activity page.
Total Tracks
Definition: The number of tracks you’ve uploaded to BeatPass.
Counts all tracks in your catalog
Includes tracks this month indicator
Each track upload earns +100 XP
Definition: Your percentage of total platform engagement.
Platform Share = (Your Contribution Value / Total Platform Contribution) × 100
This metric shows how your engagement compares to all producers on the platform.
Contribution Value
Definition: Your calculated contribution score used for subscription revenue distribution.

XP & Leveling Metrics
Experience Points (XP)
Definition: Points earned through platform activity that contribute to your producer level.
XP Sources
Action XP Earned Upload a track +100 XP Track plays +1 XP per play Complete metadata +50 XP per track Collaborate on tracks +25 XP per collaboration Unlock achievements Variable (based on rarity)
XP is tracked per action and stored in the xp_transactions table. Your total XP determines your producer level.
Producer Level
Definition: Your progression rank based on total XP earned.
The XP required for each level follows this formula:
XP Required = 100 × ((Level - 1) ^ 1.5)
Level Titles
