How to Export
Open Backstage Insights
Navigate to any track, album, or artist page you own and click the Insights button to open Backstage Insights.
Select your date range
Use the date range selector to choose the time period you want to export. The export will include data for the selected period only.
Click Export
Look for the Export option in the insights view. Select your preferred format (CSV, JSON, or PDF).
What’s Included in Exports
CSV and JSON Exports
Raw data including:- Play counts — Daily or aggregate play data for the selected period
- Engagement metrics — Completion rates, listen duration, likes
- Geographic data — Listener locations (country and region level)
- Device and platform data — Desktop, mobile, and browser breakdown
PDF Reports
A formatted summary including:- Key metrics overview (total plays, unique listeners, engagement rate)
- Charts and visualizations for the selected period
- Top-performing content highlights
- Comparison to previous periods (when available)

Narrower date ranges produce smaller, more focused exports. For monthly reviews, select the specific month. For annual summaries, select the full year.

The export includes data for the content and time period currently displayed in Backstage Insights. Make sure you’re viewing the right track, album, or artist before exporting.
