What’s Included in Exports

CSV and JSON Exports

Raw data including:
  • Play counts — Daily or aggregate play data for the selected period
  • Engagement metrics — Completion rates, listen duration, likes
  • Geographic data — Listener locations (country and region level)
  • Device and platform data — Desktop, mobile, and browser breakdown

PDF Reports

A formatted summary including:
  • Key metrics overview (total plays, unique listeners, engagement rate)
  • Charts and visualizations for the selected period
  • Top-performing content highlights
  • Comparison to previous periods (when available)

Export Tips

Narrower date ranges produce smaller, more focused exports. For monthly reviews, select the specific month. For annual summaries, select the full year.
CSV files work best when you want to create your own charts, pivot tables, or apply formulas in a spreadsheet application.
PDF reports are ideal for sharing with collaborators, managers, or labels — they include formatted charts and don’t require any special software to view.
The export includes data for the content and time period currently displayed in Backstage Insights. Make sure you’re viewing the right track, album, or artist before exporting.
