I Can’t See the Download Button

If you don’t see a Download button on tracks:
Track downloads are available to members with a paid subscription (Classic, Plus, or Pro plan). Free (Explorer) accounts can stream tracks but cannot download them.Solution: Upgrade to a paid plan to unlock downloads. Visit the pricing page or click Upgrade from your profile menu.
You need to be signed in to your account to download tracks.Solution: Sign in to your BeatPass account.
Some tracks may have downloads disabled by the producer or platform.

I’m Getting an Upgrade Prompt

When you click Download and see an upgrade prompt: This means your current subscription plan doesn’t include download access. The Free (Explorer) plan allows streaming only. Solution: Upgrade to one of our paid plans:
  • Classic — $29 CAD/month
  • Plus — $45 CAD/month
  • Pro — $59 CAD/month
All paid plans include unlimited track downloads.

Exclusive Tracks Won’t Download

Some tracks on BeatPass have exclusive licensing options:
If a track is set to exclusive-only licensing, it cannot be downloaded through the subscription. These tracks are only available for purchase by a single buyer.Solution: Contact the producer directly about purchasing exclusive rights to the track.
If a track was previously sold with exclusive rights, it’s no longer available for download by other users.This protects the exclusive buyer’s rights to the track.

Download Started But File is Missing

If you clicked download but can’t find the file:

Check your Downloads folder

Look in your computer’s default Downloads folder.

Check your browser's download manager

Click the download icon in your browser to see recent downloads.

Check if the download completed

Large files may take time to download. Make sure the download finished completely.

Download is Stuck or Failing

Try these solutions:
  1. Check your internet connection
  2. Disable any download managers or browser extensions
  3. Try a different browser
  4. Clear your browser cache and try again
Download speed depends on:
  • Your internet connection speed
  • File size (high-quality audio files can be large)
  • Current server load
Solution: Wait for the download to complete or try again during off-peak hours.
This can happen if:
  • Your session has expired — try logging in again
  • Your subscription has lapsed — check your billing status
  • There’s a temporary server issue — try again in a few minutes

License Certificates

After downloading a track, you may be prompted to generate a license certificate:
A license certificate is a document that proves you have the legal right to use the track. It includes:
  • The track name and producer
  • Your license type
  • A unique verification code
You can generate a license certificate after downloading a track.
To view your license certificates:
  1. Go to your Library
  2. Click on Licenses
  3. You’ll see all tracks you’ve licensed with their certificates
License certificates are generated automatically when you download a track. If you missed the prompt:
  1. Go to your LibraryLicenses
  2. Find the track you downloaded
  3. Click to view or regenerate your certificate

I Downloaded the Wrong Track

If you accidentally downloaded the wrong track:
  • No problem! Your subscription includes unlimited downloads, so you can simply download the correct track.
  • If you need to report an issue with a specific track, contact support at [email protected].

File Format Questions

Tracks are downloaded as high-quality audio files, typically in MP3 or WAV format depending on what the producer uploaded.
The download format depends on what the producer has made available. Contact the producer directly if you need a specific format.
